Michelle Halket is a bibliophile and technophile who loves to try new things, which is what prompted her to start a digital-first publishing company when very few knew what ebooks were. Fully immersed in words, devices, and paper stock, she now runs a traditional press and when she’s not working, she spends time with her family and dog in the forests of Vancouver.

He is a regular speaker and contributor to industry events and symposia. Prior to founding MetaComet Systems, David spent 3 years as a technology consultant for publishers working with companies such as Random House, Penguin, HarperCollins, Holtzbrinck, Macmillan, Scholastic, Time Warner and many others. Before that he spent several years managing marketing initiatives for American Express in New York. David earned both his MBA and BA from Columbia University in New York.

He serves as the Director of Sales and Education at Firebrand Technologies, where his focus is on helping publishers of all sizes learn about, and find solutions to, their workflow and metadata problems. Joshua can often be found researching odd metadata issues, creating training videos and documentation about Firebrand services, and speaking at conferences about the latest innovations and advances in publishing data and workflow management. In his spare time, Joshua enjoys playing complex board games, playing Minecraft, and reading.
